Anyone know how I get hold of BT?
I need to try and get out of my Broadband contract. I have a HomeHub2 I think is called and they have changed it once already, but I still need to re-boot it about 3 times a day. Trouble is I know I will be put through to India and I will not have a clue what they are saying to me.

0800-800-060 or 0800-783-0968.
UK call centre numbers.
(although with some of their northern accents you wouldn't think so................Newcastle and Manchester!!!)

you really do need to stop using this site as alternative to Google. Did it ever cross your mind to go to bt.com ::)

Tunnie, don't start me off. If I could have gotten the number off the BT website I can assure you I would have. I used the number that Mike gave me and I was put thru to a UK call centre. I also remember another member asking for BT advice on here last week and I do NOT remember you giving him the advice (unwanted) and uncalled for that you gave me. Seems you just look for any excuse to have a pop at me. I could have a pop at you for BRAGGING about this and that but I do not. Leave me alone and keep your NASTY remarks to yourself.

After BT ran some line tests they came back with this.......
Download speedachieved during the test was - 4633 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 600-7150 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :6016 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 5000 Kbps
So what they are telling me is I have a PC problem. Cannot be, as the problems persists on 2 Laptops and a Desktop. So none the wiser.

With respect, luvvy, this points to yet another BT home hub going faulty................
Time to kick up a fuss and ask for an engineer to call.

I have already had 2 new ones since October.
Guy on phone insisted it was a PC problem, who am I to argue, even though it took ages for the line test page to open whilst he was on the phone with me, and him saying should not take this long to open a page.
Beats Me.
