few years ago i was told it was against the law to supply a computer case with out a proper UK IEEC lead.
I bought a unit that requires an external 9v supply, the company I bought it off in the UK, also sent me a 2 pronged 9volt supply and Euro adapter to covert the power supply to a UK mains socket.
Whats the ruling on electrical epquipment supplied with 2 pronged main adapters.
TIA. :y

I think it's fine.
I buy from PixMania.com, and most of their electrical stuff comes with a continental plug and adaptor.

Thought they were all 3 pronged, all ours are, and a recent ebay purchase was found with a faulty plug and broken wire after just a few weeks. >:(

Either way, not a problem as I can plug stright into the mains and use the item. :y

It is law that any lead sold within the uk which can connect to the UK Type G BS1363 outlets must have the correct approvals or be supplied with an adaptor which has the correct uk approvals.
Remember that the UK plugs are considered as one of the safest designs there is due to the fact that it is the only type that must be fused, is polarised and grounded

Agreed. the live is always on the same UK pin (or it should be) Spanish two pin plugs can go in either way round and come out remarkably easily.
