just been out to change the fuel filter as car was stuttering badly, new ones been in the boot for 2 months. took the fuse out as the thread states and let the engine die. struggled for a good half hr to get it off.got distracted by the sound of fighting and glasses breaking outside the legion, then woosh, petrol gushed out, over my face and chest but filled my right ear up, had to run across the rd and knock at neighbours to pour saucepans of water over my head and in me ear, side of face swelled up completely and neck was burning as i had a shave about 2 hrs to go. pain was unbearable in my ear for a good 15 mins and about 20 gallons later and an ice pack on side of face its ok now, new filter fitted and car is running ok now. :-[ :-[ :-[ :) :) :)
just looked out the window and theres police cars and vans everywhere.

Not surprised. If one of those fighting bozos across the road had flicked a dog-end in your direction you may have ended up as the first BBQ of the day!
