was out for a walk last night and saw a land rover old type for sale and it said, for sale 10bob and a conker.
so is any one intrested  :)

That bit is easy as there are antique shops galour with those ;).
No it is the conker that could be hard to find as Mark states! :D :D :D ;)

On my first posting a rather presentable young cavalry officer offered me a 9 bob note.  I declined to accept it at the time.

Was that a mistake on my part - would this a have been a valuable gift or would it now be de-valued, as there seems to be a lot of them in circulation today?

(Not that there's anything wrong with that of course)
