Title: Hmmmmm
Post by: TheBoy on 27 June 2010, 01:00:29
It seems that having a clumsy little woman pour a load of water over a mains socket does knock out the trips in the house, hence the outage a few mins ago....

Anyone know a good, cheap supplier of UPS batteries?

Been there before, they are unsuitable sadly. Mdsbattery seem to be best bet currently, and that's where last lot came from

Kill two birds with one stone. Tell her she is fat and needs to lose weight and then wire her exercise bike to the server.

But before you tell her, where do we send the flowers? ;D

Not too bad straight from Yuasa.

... Might be worth checking that the UPS is floating them at a sensible voltage given the spectacular failure mode. Bear in mind that it's warm at the moment and the voltage should really be temperature compensated.

I'm sorry to hear that, the consequences could have been dire - I do hope she wasn't injured.

Outages can aways be rectified. :y

I've used MDS 2 or 3 times for APC replacements and they are fine.  I drop in and they seem to know their stuff.  Also been around for quite a while now so hopefully won't disappear.
