some may laugh,some may agree but i like a drink always have and an average night for me is a couple of beers with mi tea sometimes more in this weather,a glass of wine later and i watch telly in bed then with a scotch only the scotch is getting larger everynight and sometimes another glass.the weekend i overdo it and some mondays im really rough so ive come to a decision to cut down and have just bought some bavaria alcohol free and tbh its not bad at all,becks is better but the bavaria was only£1.50 for 4 bottles,im 36 this year with 3 kids and seeing me messy a few times and smoking isnt really a good role model so im cutting down on both(apart from the odd binge ::))

That does seem like a common age for deciding enough is enough, and crawling into the house for 24 hours of feeling really sick is no longer a good idea. I did that at least after a Sunday in a pub closed for a private party with the landlord plying me with wine!! :D :D ;)
I think you are making a wise decision - boring, but wise!! ;D ;D ;)

i love drinking, i love socialising and meeting people in the pubs. shame labours high taxes and supermarkets cheap beer destroyed it, pubs were packed everyone knew the people who lived near them and people got on. i probably know half a dozen people on my estate only because i see them in the local pubs.

been there, done that when i was 37, unfortunately worked in a brewery & was averaging a gallon & half a day. weekends were even worse.
however, met up with the now wife & 2 step kids & had to dramaticly cut it down. still have a beer every evening though, but knowhere near what i did before.

i stopped drinking for 6 months years ago when i met a lass, got sick to death of sitting in watching tv and going out with her parents for meals and not seeing my mates. when she dumped me for getting hammered one saturday on my mates stag night it was the best thing that ever happened to me :y :y

i was that used to it, i never suffered from any of the above, apart from once when i nearly ended up in A&E due to poisoning. that was a bit scary. :o

I only drink Whisky as a rule, a tipple or two or so in the evening. My problem is not the amount of whisky I drink it is these dam bottles, they keep making them smaller, they just do not last as long as they used to......... :D :D :D

I'm teetotal... ::) ;)
::) Don`t they make men`s scarves? ;D

I used to be in the pub all the time when i were a young'un but most proper local pubs have sadly died a death now. I am partial to a voddy or few at weekends & am probably over my weekly units (what expert came up with that B/S?)
I don't get sick or hungover though.

Ooh !, that made me laugh - some pratt of a Quack plucked the figure out of his arse many moons ago

Don't touch the stuff now, never been a heavy drinker anyway, but I can't even remember the last time I had a beer.

Many years ago, like many, i frequented the pubs and clubs every night of the week and all day on Sundays, though never overdid it, averaged about six pints of bitter plus 2 or 3 chasers, usually no less than 4 pints.
Eventually got married, divorced and married and divorced again and the drinking rollercoastered for some years, but to day never touch drink at all now, one pint of beer, one shot or glass of wine gives me a splitting headache and feeling ill....one Christmas a few years ago i went for an evening drink near home with work friends, i had 3 pints of pi**y lager but on the way home thought i had been mugged, as i felt a bang on my head and found myself in the gutter, i hadn't been mugged, just reeling drunk :o
lucky i got away with it, many of my old drinking buddies never stopped and died early, many are still killing themselves, today booze has never been cheaper or easier to get :-/
