Ok the big E failed the M.O.T. she failed on both track rod ends excessive and dangerous play....Both headlights causing serious reduction in light projection(both are milky and scratched) and 1 advisory front discs pitted and corroded reccomend replacement..... :( :(
-
Bugger!
Quite easy fixes though :y :y
-
How much to sort it ....Bertie?.. :-/
-
Sorry to hear that Bertie :(
I'm sure you can get away with the front discs for a bit until funds permit. Headlights could do with a good T-Cut. There's actually a guide for cleaning up the headlights, I'll find the link in a second. It's a cheap way to try and increase the light output.
Hopefully you can get it all sorted :y

Kwik-fit prices....Need a loan ;D ;D....Euro car parts are quoting £9-15 for the track rod ends...Just need to locate headlights and make sure i get the right ones...... :y So off to e-bay i go... ;D ...Already seen the headlight guide josh mine are fubared the m.o.t. tester said they are the worst he`s ever seen and they struggled to get a reading on em..... :o Discs will ok for a while as its only an advisory...Ill get em done when funds permit... :y

See if Pinky has any kicking around the Death Star, I bet he would be cheaper than eblag.

Could be worse mate. Only failed on wear & tear items.

Spoke to wellung last night and he`s having a scout round the local breakers to see if there any migs being broken and Loo-knee`s on the case for the headlights as well...All i`ve gotta do is go round to euro car parts and get the track rod ends and then read the how to guide and have a go i reckon.... :o :o :o All a bit difficult though when you aint got a drive to work on... The in laws drive is too steep to be doing this kind of work on....
-
sorry to hear that mate, but at least they should be reasonably easy to fix -and without too much expense judging from the help on here. Good luck :y

I really would polish the headlighst yourself, its easy and will only cost a bit of elbow grease.
If you were closer I would do them for you.
If money is tight, get a set of seconds hand track rod ends (known good) to tide you over....you could fix this little lot for about 20 quid tops
To replace track rod ends is a sub 1 hour job if you have a splitter....and I dont even remove the road wheels now!

Loo-knee`s come up trumps with headlights....Gonna blag a lift and see the pink one later today.... And track rod ends £9 each from euro car parts....So i guess i`m getting greasy and dirty and wet(according to weather forecast later)...Thanx for the offers guy and mark for polishing em it is appreciated.... :y :y :y
