If that report contains even a modicum of truth then serious questions need to be asked & those responsible brought to account, but don't hold your breath & certainly don't expect the Government to do bugger all, since their hands will be as red & anyone elses!  >:(

I think the moral fibre of the US system is bankrupt when you look at the punishment metered to BP for failures caused by an American platform operator compared to the fine given to Goldman Sachs and the amount they cost us, the americans and the global markets.  The fine was less than 10% of the profits they made in the first half of this year and amounted to a small fraction of the monies lost by many investors.  :o

yep - seems its open-season on Beleaguered Petroleum, whether this story has any substance or not (and for me it seems totally plausible) can anyone name an international oil company who hasn't done any murky deals in the middle east? Of course not - I think it's a case of the west needing oil but not wanting to know how it gets here.....seems we can't handle the truth :o

yep - seems its open-season on Beleaguered Petroleum, whether this story has any substance or not (and for me it seems totally plausible) can anyone name an international oil company who hasn't done any murky deals in the middle east? Where there is big sums of money and profit,
everything is possible.. even our national company form a different division for international operations
to prevent problems with local laws.. :-/
