Can anyone tell me what the symbol is that I keep getting on my TomTom screen, top left corner. It appears to be a speed limit roundel, I think it is always 50, only seems to appear on motorways, and shows what seem to be a reducing distance in yards or meters underneath, until I pass - possibly a mileage marker - or in many cases nothing at all. The associated warning is as if it is a speed camera, but is clearly not. Nothing in the TomTom manual or the on-line help gives any information.
TIA :y

Happens too often, and also actual speed camera warnings on mine are purely aural. :-/ :-/ :-/

Deffo speed camera's mate, but they're the average type through roadworks. Must've been roadworks there at sometime.

You have TomTom speed cameras set up .. and, as usual, they are out-of-date .. !!
Several options ;
1. Get the latest database from TT ... will cost you :(
2. Stop using TT speed cameras .. which are useless anyway .. just delete all the speedcamera files from the map folder
3. Drop me a PM if you want to know ahow you can get TT speedcamera files in a way that we can't discuss .. :)

I have had the same problem on numerous occasions today, on the A1/M1. It is a bit disconcerting when you are cruising at an exact 70 mph and it warns you of a speed camera 400 yards ahead and the speed limit is 40/50 >:(
The Tom Tom maps are hopelessly out of date. I purchased the latest map for the UK last year and it still didn't show the new approach to the Forth Road Bridge even though it was completed a few years ago. :-[
