Title: converting a cv in pdf to word

Can any of you clever guys tell me how to do this.As simple as poss as i am special needs with computers. :-[ :y

Google "pdf to word converter".  there are plenty of free utilities out there that will do this.

Depends on the PDF unfortunately.

If it comprises a scan of the original document you are probably better off re-typing it (character-recognition software is the alternative).

If it is textual then you can select, copy & paste into any Word document you choose.  You may lose some formatting (positioning of text and bold, italic attributes etc.) but the meaning will be there.

The way to tell the difference is to click on a page and see if the whole page gets selected (scanned image) or you can select individual characters & words.

try nitro pdf convertor - you can get a 14 day free trial when you download it and it converts pdf's to word documents and all sorts of other things - I'm now using it instead of Adobe

Well I know you don't know me, but if you're still having problems, and you feel you could trust me if all else fails, I'll try to do this for you with the software I have.  And then email it back to you via your personal email address if you like ?.

But what ever you do, don't and go and post it via open thread on here if you do, otherwise we'll all be contacting you with work !!.   ;D  ;D :y
