Title: Cortina in Monmouth.

  Do any of you nearby familiar with such cars you could view on my behalf? The dropping passenger door needs further investigation but panels are still available or can be made up.

I served my apprentiship working on those motors,  and owned an orange one!! We really loved those old Fords, the Capri was awesome, I had a Daytona yellow 1600.

The hinge pin is an easy fix and a common fault, wings are bolted on. Shame about the wheels though.

I notice the mirror is missing on the door, which is strange because it should be on the wing!

Been modernised at some point.... ::) ::)
Door drop the front wing, whatever is behind is a simple fix and parts should be still available..... :y
You opening your own Museum then Guy, and look after that P6... :D :D :D

just be a little careful guy, the a post is known to rot on the mk3
and cause the top hinge to let go, its not impossible to repair but its an awkward job to do well, :y

Might be best to let this one go. I imagine the door drop is a welding job & as said not easy to get to. (Mini a panel) & given the distance & the fact it's a facelift mk3 with the Mk4 dash not the slopey job i'll give it a swerve. If it was nearer i'd be tempted to venture further.
   By the way the facelift Mk3's like this one could have been fitted with door as appose to wing mirrors. Thanks for your responses, Cortina Sadcase!!!!! ::)

Love & hate this prog. They took a 2000E & put a GXL grille & twin headlamps on it, ragged it to death & pushed the prices sky high in the process. Idiots. ::)
