Post by: Marks DTM Calib on 31 July 2010, 17:44:42

They sent out another engine....we dont store the required quantity of red on site!

It had got 3 miles and done some shunting but it means muggins hear has some big break off fuel filters to change and clean.

The muppets, dont they check the fuel gauge before a journey - does it have a fuel gauge (Or is it a dip stick - or is that just the driver in this case)  :-/

Thankfuly its self bleeding tony.

There ia a gauge on the side of the tank and its close to empty ( there will be 44 years of sludge in the bottom)

It was a mainline driver and they are not used to having to check fuel levels themselves

Nah, it has run oil pressure switches and water pressure switch which shut down the engine so no worries there

aye its ole school,no crank sensors and whatever sensors and ecu,s and abs ecu,s and motors on the headlights and selector switches and whichever sensors lol,to be fair i love omegas but look in the car chat and its page after page of faults and computer related probs,we havent gone forward if you ask me..bring back points and condensors, cap and leads,if it didnt run youd run out of petrol, yer pump were gone or no spark simples,if it were diesel it just needed diesel and a simple solenoid open on the pump to let it in

Err....I show people bits of it.

Its very work in progress, I pulled the engine the other week to re-liner it and give it a major re-build.

Not really planning on goin concourse condition but will get it upto a good standard over the next 12 months.
