Mazda Rx8 drinks oil, and I believe servicing the rotor tips on the rotary engine is costly.good car though....they say.

Honda rs 2000 got to be worth a look surely?

Something sporty to use at the weekends - thinking outside the box you could buy a jet ski and get all your thrills on water - it's like having a 1300cc motorbike with no brakes! :y

Yep Agreed.....especially with a SC. M3 Convertible is a hairdressers car.... ;)

4 seater convertibles look daft, IMHO, especially with a BMW badge on the bonnet. ;) So that's the BMW and the SAAB out.

Skyline? Not sure. bit of a geeky image and are they really fun? Probably not on the road. They are more car than it's fun to throw around on the road, IMHO.

RX8 not a bad idea. Wankel engine perhaps a brave move but if it's going to be a fun car it won't do galactic miles so probably not an issue. Yes, they burn oil but they are designed to. There's no other way to lubricate a Wankel.

Others ideas for a fun car? S2000, as said, MX5, Lotus Elise, numerous kit car options....

.. but from the above list, RX8 without a doubt.
