If MS gets a 10 place grid drop (and he has) at the next race there might be no-one behind him! ;D ;D ;D
Time to bow out methinks, but he was full of himself at post-race interview. >:( >:( >:(
-
where was that guy who had under his avatar shuey 2010 champ? and said he was the best in F1?? In your face! ;D
Just shows what an unpleasant driver he is when in the back no leading, Go Rubans!
-
It really does go to show that once a cheat, always a cheat... The evidence does really show it was just his car and not him...
-
Not cheating that was just bl**dy dangerous - tw*t should be banned >:(

F1 isn't really high on my list of interests, and yes although he has been involved in some dubious track activites you don't get to the top of your game without some level of skill.
I doubt many drivers even in his car would have performed as he has done over the years. Right car, right driver, right place.
I saw some footage the other day of Ayrton Senna doing some very "dubious" manouvers all in the name of racing

As much as I hate to say it Schumacker is a legend and will be in the history books of motor sport, however, its about time he retired before he's in the history books for killing a fellow driver >:(

He's a top driver Pete & no doubt wll be a legend but for all the wrong reasons. We don't swear any more suffice to say he's an unpleasant sort of chap & the world would be a better place without such arrogant folk. :(

In other words that stunt he pulled he was behaving like a pr*ck >:(

Probably Pil but i could'nt comment as i did'nt see it & won't see any others. F1's just not what it was for me anyway. I'm going back a few years when he won everything, stood on the podium with his Buzz lightyear chin sticking out when his National Anthem was playing then ponced about & took he pee when the other two had thiers played, then bogged off when he stopped winning. Well he should have stayed bogged off. He's his own biggest fan the smarmy little git. >:(
-
He should have stayed out of it when he retired.
The other pratt today was Vettell, and jolly well serves him right, he is the next MS in the making, if he cant talk his way through, he blames others or pleads ignorance.
Webber deserved his win today.
In fact, sack MS, trade Vettel over to Ferrari and the Alonso and Vettell can have fun together, same attitude and with a team that stinks.
-
Agree about Vettell being the next Scumaher in the making. He has got into the same habit of driving straight across the track at the start - aiming his car at the car of whoever is next to him on the grid. A dangerous, unsporting practice and should be banned imo.
As for Scumacher, he has pulled countless stunts during his career like he did today. He did exactly the same thing to his brother many years ago, he should have been kicked out of F1 a long time ago.He doesnt have a fair, sporting bone in his body.
On paper he is the greatest but for me he is nothing of the sort. Apart from his own cheating and dangerous driving over the years, it was motorsports worst kept secret that before he went to Ferrari they were thinking of quitting F1, as they had no success for so long, so the FIA and Bernie tipped them the wink that they wouldnt be expected to comply with the rules as stringently as the other teams. If it had have been a level playing field he/they wouldnt have had anywhere near the success they did.As Martin Brundle said today about the Scumacher Ferrari years "there are still many tales to be told about that era".
This is borne out now by the fact that he is driving a car which is built to the same rules as everyone elses and he looks distinctly mediocre. His young team mate is running rings round him, so it isnt just the car.
Senna was a complete master of his craft, Scumacher wasnt fit to wipe his visor imo. Everyone seems to remember Suzuke 1990, but they seem to forget that it was purely personal, him and Prost hated the sight od each other. No-one seems to remember Suzuka 1989.Prost didnt even attempt to make the corner, he took Senna out deliberatley.

Which brings us to Alonso..........cut from the same cloth as Scumacher imo,he should put the trophy for his Hockenhiem win beside the trophy for singapore 2008, when his team mate was ordered to crash into the wall to manipulate the result in Alonsos favour.
-
There should be no favourtism at all, forget the fines, they can all afford that with thier eyes shut.
Penalties should include place loses and podium demotion if they are to found guilty. Ms today deserves last place on the grid next time out,
Vettell today got a drive through, he knows the rules as he is a professional, he got what he deserved and it hurt him, in return his childish side came out. Personally I would have took his place off him for driving through the pit lane with no hands on the when and gesturing at others.
As for Renault letting thier car out and causing a crash, that was just pathetic.......... :-X

But then you have the rumours of when the spy thing happened, and hamilton it is reckoned suffered with having to lose the championship.
F1 stinks because of certain individuals.
-
Schumacher should have had a race ban for today’s stunt. It’s all very well playing hardball where there is grass or run offs but not at the pit exit with a wall there. Only needed someone exiting the pits and it would have been carnage; as it was it was damn close.
Schumacher’s success has been built at the expense of his team mate; superior car and the one person who could race you being forbidden to doesn’t make a legend in my book. Never before, nor since really, have team orders been so rigid and favourable to one driver. He may be good but that’s tainted by his tactics and his team demands so will never be one of the greats to me.
-
its not what you do but how you do it in life, and he has consistantly done it very very badly imo. Got to respect his talent, but...
And if Vetal shoved the no. one digit in the air anywhere near me i'd whack him, arogent little shite. >:(

Schumacher is/was one of the great drivers of modern times. Whilst from the footage I've seen on the news I think he was definately in the wrong on this (and a fair few previous) occasions, he has what virtually every other F1 driver lacks - a real, true desire to win. I guess that desire is simply one step removed from arrogance.
He is smart enough to know he wasn't going to do well this year, that Mercedes car is severely underdeveloped, as Brawn had no plans beyond 2009. He is/was probably one of the best development drivers out there.
Vettel, hmmm, sore loser. No doubt he has the skills, but lacks the race experience of his teamate.
Still, at least these people have the burning desire to win, unlike the rest of the useless poofters out there. Take Button, another Henman in the making, always has been, always will be a loser, has only managed one truely great race in his entire career (Brazil last year). Again, no doubt he has the skill when he is in the right frame of mind, just no desire to win.
-
I agree with TheBoy about desire to win.
Schumaher has it in abundance, and probably that is the biggest reason for him being an as...
Same goes for Senna, in my opinion he was a bigger as... than Schumaher on the track but the people liked him (probably because he wasn't german ;D).
-
Sadly Schumacher is the "Golden Boy" of racing and in all honesty I am very surprised that they laid the 10 place drop on him.
Yes, Schumacher is a legend of F1, but, he is also a master of controvesy, from his days back with Benneton with their menu option 13 (just after Launch and Traction Control had been banned, but strangely he had got it, and no punishment). The incident at Adelaide, where he had hit the wall, then promptly took Damon Hill out of the race... Belgium 1995, Monza 1995, and so on and so forth. Continuous streams of Schumacher deliberately stretching the rules in his direction and not being correctly punished for them...

and there in lies the problem with in F1.
If Rubens did the same to Schumacher yesterday it would be completely the other way round.

Senna was a legend and hero if you see where he started from and what he achived the reason he was liked so much was cos he gave alot back to his roots and where others less fortunate than him with the Senna foundation his legacy still lives on

With the notable exceptions of Damon Hill and David Chin, I agree. Those 2 were also losers....

Made for great racing though. When men were men, and differences were sorted out on the track (fisty-cuffs if reqd as well).
What do we dwell on now? I single swerve in a race.
Thats why F1 is for poofs now... ...those Senna/Prost/Piquet/Mansel days will never return

with fia legislation and bernnie( grab the money and run )eccelston ruling all F1 will remain a poor shodow of its once great former self

The big difference between the days when men were men and nowadays is imo, that in those days they were hard as nails but there was a sporting code between them, (with the notable exception of Prost/Senna with each other - they despised one another) they knew that if they went beyond certain boundaries they could easily kill themselves or someone else, it wasnt like the Nintendo (almost risk free) racing of today.
I can remember drivers banging wheels together sliding off and back on the track together (usually Villeneuve and AN other) but there was no malicious intent involved at all, and they would watch the replay together after the race and laugh eith each other about it.
Alan Jones was one of the hardest but fairest blokes ever to sit in a racing car, and his comment about Villeneuve kind of sums up for me what is missing in F1 these days - "he was the hardest craziest little blank you could ever race against, he would never give you a single inch that wasnt yours, but he would also never take a single inch from you that he knew wasnt his". Fair play. The concept is alien to F1 these days.
Its for those reasons that I dont think Scummy should ever be spoken off in the same terms as the drivers from those days, there is a world of difference between hard but fair and downright dangerous and arrogant.
I would loved to have seen Scummy puul his stunts on Jones, he would have been in his pit and dragged him out of the car and gave him a hiding. He had a bit of trouble with Piquet, playing politics and mind games etc. (very south american) he sent someone down to the Brabham pit with a message that if Piquet said one more annoying thing about him he was coming down there to give him a good pasting. Piquet never said another word about Jones. :)
He had to miss one race because a couple of blokes in a van cut him up badly in London when his wife and son were in the car. He chased them, caught them and jumped out of his car and started scrapping with the two who got out of the front of the van. Unfortunately for him there were four more in the back who got out and give him a proper kicking. ;D cant imagine any of todays drivers doing that, apart from possibly weber - must be an Aussie thing. :)
