Title: theres always someone in a group
Post by: Richie London on 31 July 2010, 21:01:16
had a great day at the races yesterday one a fair few quid on the last 2 races. drank meself sober until 3am. but 2 mates decided to insult each others wives on the way back. 3 hrs of continous rows in untold pubs then fists had to fly at the end of it resulting in 0ne of them getting severly battered. these youngsters really cant handle the drink and should not be allowed to drink. a great day out ruined

When i was young...shut up.... it was funny. Win or lose i did'nt care i just used to enjoy scrapping. I've had none of that silliness for many years now other than recently when i was hit first. I dealt with it quickly but despite winning it was'nt funny any more & spoilt an otherwise cracking weekend, not to mention my new denture..(£350) Luckily everyone accepted my apologies & understood i only hit back. I thought i was finished with all that & hope i am now despite my gob!!!
Sorry to hear your weekend was spoilt...god i'm getting old!!!!! ::) :D ;D

from a toddleer right until i left home at 21 i think i lived with the sounds of a nextdoor neighbour beating his wife and music till 3 in the morning and i always said one day il ave him, well 7 yrs ago it happened he picked the fight and swung for me first over mi mums garden wall so i jumped over and knocked him out literally..tbh it felt good at the time but shortly afterwards and by that i mean minutes i felt ashamed id dropped to his level but he apologised some time after for being a git all those years so some good came of it

I felt equally as ashamed despite the fact he deserved it so i understand & doubt we're alone. You did right. :y

i like to go out, have a laugh and go home knowing ive enjoyed meself. but the one who got done friday is very offensive when hes had a few and taken a lot of beatings over it in the past because of the way he is.sober he is a lovely bloke and cant fault him, but drunk hes caused so many rows but telling your mate his wife is a fat old pig is going beyond a bit of fun and he deserved what he got.

sounds like he's had a few chances to learn from his mistakes and doesn't - i'd say he's got deeper problems than drink  :o

it's a sad state of affairs indeed, :( i see it most weekends at work. worst thing is that it seems to be the older people who show the biggest personality shifts :-/ unfortunately you expect the youngsters to be a bit mouthy, but you'd hope that the otherwise respectable forty somethings would really know better. :-/ it's not all drink either...
aren't you supposed to get wiser as you get older, or do habits become harder to break? :-/

he was like it again yesterday while the football was on, luckily for him he went home at 5 hammered. he was ok when i sat down talking to him at 3 then later he started getting arrogant and offensive.i could hear him from the other bar. he just wont learn a hard lesson. i feel sorry for his wife, god knows what she sees in him

OMG This all sounds like it is happening in a third world country. She probably has absolutely no where else to go and mistakenly thinks "she can change him" which is what attracted her in the first place. Run lady, run while you still can. :'( :'( :'( :'(
