Title: Been to Holmfirth to collect the car
Post by: Vamps on 02 August 2010, 21:08:54
Stopped off at Hartshead Moor Services on the way back......Runs like a dream..... :y :y :y

Only problem, a new battery was put on it for it's MOT and since then the air bag light is on, typical Omega more lights than a Christmas Tree, any idea's how to switch it off.... ::) ::)

Our pair...

Hmm, I can't really think why the airbag light would come on if the battery had been disconnected. I've had to change plenty of batteries on Omega's and that alone has never caused the airbag light to come on. If the door loom, or front seats had to be touched then that could cause the airbag light to come on.
A tech2 will clear the airbag light, but an external device is needed, there's nothing you can do yourself to clear the light.

Wow, she's lovely Mike I'm jealous rotten :D
I can turn your airbag light off if you like, give you a chance to see the LPG installation? :y

Nice pair there Vamps :y ;D

Try opening the front doors, then undoing the electrics cables inbetween the hinges, give them a blow out and refit :y

It worked a couple of times for me ;)

change of battery won't cause airbag light to come on, means there is a fault someware in the system, or at some point one of the sensors have been un-plugged. Needs a chat with tech2 to resolve  :y

nice :y the kids will be an unusual shade of pink though :-/
seriously, if the car has been over enthusiastically valeted, then it is possible that the seat wiring has been disturbed whilst hoovering. had this happen afew times with vectra cs. :-/
i know the wiring lives under a cover at the side of the seat, but this does pull off quite easily.

Hi, Hope you don't mind me contacting you (nice cars) did you find out how to turn off the airbag light - I bought an omega today and that seems to be the only fault on it, Thanks
