Just read that report about the Scorpio v Omega, Ive delivered to all 3 of them places  to name just a few. I do like the old Granada/Scorpio i must admit, ive had a few of them, 2.5s, 3,0, but i love the old Omega, cant wait to put it back on the road, Im suffering driving the old Peugeot 405 diesel at the moment, Great MPG but ive been more comfortable laying on a bed of nails, Ok thats not true. Walking over hot coals, Thats more like it.  ;D ;D ;D

I can't say I've ever liked the look of the scorpio. I always think of 'wide-mouthed frog' whenever I see them.  ;D

In addition, although they say performance is the same (2.6 Omega V 2.9 Scorpio), the reviewer keeps mentioning the 50 - 70 of the Scorpio, yet barely mentions the larger engine capacity.  I think the reviewer needs to try a 3.0 ;)

Yes, the reviewer deliberately picked the 2.5 as it didn't quite match the larger displacement (and much less efficient!) 24v Scorpio...

Against the 3.0 Elite it is just embarassing!  ;D

I drove a 2.9 24v Scorpio last night, while my friend drove my 3.0 Elite.
Nice seats, and I got a pleasant view of my car disappearing into the distance!  ;D

I felt that the reviewer was trying hard to keep liking his Scorpio even though the Omega is clearly the better car.  Especially in 3.0 form.

I've seen it too and I agree on Barge Captains analysis

There are quite a few errors in the review...

I was starting to wonder if the Scorpio was as ugly as I remembered. Many cars that I hated when they first came out have grown on me in this age of the Fiat Multipla and the Renault Vel Satis.

Anyway, saw one today. EEk!  :o The wide mouthed frog is spot on.

In fact, it was while ClarCE was giving me a ride in his Omega if I'm not mistaken, so I appologise if I flinched. It wasn't your driving  ;)
