Well went with Jamie to the scrappy again today for some bits.
Needed a screen wash pump as the old one was nakered & also needed an air intake temp sensor, which was causing the EM light to come on.
Well replaced the air intake sensor next to the air filter, but the EM light still comes on >:( - Ran it for about 3/4 mins.... it remained on.
Replaced the screen wash pump, now makes a pumping noise, but no jets of water from the front or back :(
On closer inspection both black wires to the front jets have come loose from the jet and i can see the green foam??!?! inside the cable :-/
Thanks to Jamie the leccy passenger seat now has some movement (forward & back, back goes up and down), this was due to cruddy connections not making a good connection on the switch buttons.
Today i stripped down the drivers side, hopeing for the same problem. But alas no >:( - All the connectors were clean and seamed to be making good connections bar 1.
Also there is only 1 loom connector on the drivers side leccy seat, compared to the passenger side which has 2. >:(
Also the only one i can find on the drivers side seams to be for the mechanical pre-tensionsor!!
So lots of work done, but nothing really achiveed >:(

Whats the fault code.....
-
Sounds like you have achieved quite a bit m8. :)
Could be washer bottle or jets blocks.....tho if no water comes out of any jets....id go for washer bottle blocked......i think theres a filter inside it isnt there?
EML might just need reseting......id ask Jaime to put his Tech2 on it again
Dunno about the seats tho :(

Yeah there is a little rubber filter, i cleaned that yesterday when at Jamie's... its fairly clear, might try getting the pump out again, and sticking it a bottle of water & see if i get a nice water feature going! ;D
Not sure on the fault code, Jamie might know. Tech 2 said the Air-Intake Sensor was faulty... i'll paper clip test it and get the code...
-
Fault codes are:
68 Throttle Switch (TS) - idle contact Idle switch not opening
69 Air Temperature Sensor (ATS) Low voltage
-
Might be worth clearing code again, and doing another live data view. Chances of 2 kanckered sensors? Check the wiring...

That sounds strange with my seats the passenger seat connected up using the one loom, originally in place from the old seats.
The drivers seat should have two one for powering the motor and the other is for the dimming mirror and wing mirror connection to the seat for the memory. I think thats how it works.

chances of two knackered sensors - well it was out of a scrappie so possible,,, :-/

I've lent tunnie a sensor off a known working Omega, so we'll have to wait and see if that cures it or not. Least I could do after his help and time this evening :)

no hurry mate, don't think I'll need it for a few days - thats one of the advantages of a spare omega on the drive ;)

I just put on the other sensor along with the air pipe, the EM light is still on :(
Started it ran it for 30 seconds or so, and it remained on. Must be the wiring :-/
-
What's all this about a second Omega Jamie???? (as if I don't know! ;))

OK, you'll have to meter out the wiring, find out whats broken :(
-
humm thats not going to be fun!
I was looking at were the wiring goes, all gets hidden very quickly...
I bought a Haynes manual off fleabay, should be here tomorrow.
-
I'm sure you have an electronic wiring diagram, which may be easier in this case ;)

I'll just load up the paper copy... ::)

The electronic copy has the advantage of having locations of connectors ;)
