No one's around to answer questions when you get stuck! :o
:P
If I only had some beer for while I wait . . . ::)

I'm here.... been out for the sun now back in the shade!

Yeah, definitely a day worth enjoying. Got there in the end I think. About to lower it down and take it for a drive. 6hrs to adjust parking brake all told. :-[

Sorry, myself, Mark & Jaime were busy trying to make a silk purse from a sows ear. ;)
Also known as make the tractor run better! ;D
We succeeded in making the gear changes nice and smooth, but there is little that could be done about making the engine not sound like a no.22 bus! ;)

Any progress on the cooling?

I know you and M_DTM are secretly jealous.... ....in fact, MDTM told me he desperately wants a 2.5TD, but is too shy to publically admit it :P

Very embarrassing....
On the test drive I felt like I should be stopping at every bus stop....
Now convinced that the cooling issue is a big build up of crudd in the system as every thing else checks out ok...

I thought once you got used to the immense power, and was no longer scared of it, you quite enjoyed it....

That's OK. I ended up having to strip it all apart even though the parts were all replaced last year. I didn't get it adjusted quite right. The shoes were dragging a bit, but after 10 miles they stopped. :P
How well is the parking brake supposed to hold? Yank it up, put it in drive, and it holds a small amount of throttle but creeps if you are more aggressive.

That's the important bit!
I haven't had drum brakes in a while. I forgot how much worse they are than disc brakes. And then these are tiny, so that's just how they are I suppose.
