Post by: Mr Skrunts on 21 August 2010, 13:00:37

I wouldn't buy one because they are too expensive.

I bought one years ago, it was the pet one, normal uprite. Was ok for the first year or so, but then u have to go about replacing stuff and in the end it DOES lose suction. Definately not worth the money IMHO.

So eventually i gave up on it and went out to buy a Numatic Henry! At least its easier to hoover out the car with! hehehehe.

My thoughts exactly! ::) ::)

I have seen one of these in the flesh and it is quite funky but I wouldn't pay that price for a fan! :o :o

As for the hoovers... We had one and I wasn't overly impressed. It was heavy and no better that the Bissell one we have now ;)

Of course we knew that.  I have had two Dyson vacuum cleaners and they're pretty good.  It's the fans that are too expensive. :)

I would love a try of one of those....

It would have to be VERY good at that price.

They had lots those fired up in my local Makros's a few weeks ago when we had our once a year 2 day heatwave.

Was quiet impressed, not with price though.

Damned right. I could think of plenty of more interesting things to spend that sort of money on, and given the choice I'd just sweat a bit more, I'm afraid. ;D

I wouldn't buy another Dyson over rated, over priced and not made over here. I could never understand how they got away with the "no bag so no loss of suction" advert, b0llocks, when the filters clogged it certainly lost suction and wern't cheap to replace.

yup, they work well. We have DC-01 we use on the cars, one a few years newer which i now have for the flat, and we just got one of those new ball ones, impressive things.

Also he's done well, he took his idea to Hoover and they said get stuffed, he's got himself as a house-hold name now, and now Hoover and in big trouble, hes a businessmen at the end of the day, and foreign labour will always be cheaper

I have a large cleaning buisness and have many dysons and must say that they are totally crap!always break.badly made and as for suction and removing hair are useless.can't Hoover  hard floors like laminate or lino and the design for them is rubbish as the air blows forward so all the dust is moved.if you suck up any building dust they will very quickly die as the filters let fine dust get into the bearings!people like them because they can see the dirt and beleive it's amazing!if you want a good Hoover that will last a lifetime and I mean a lifetime get a meile.the best Hoover by a long long way and do wonders for carpets. :y
