Title: Computer slow after a certain amount of time?

Dads computer running XP SP3, of you clear the history it's fine for around 10 or so pages then it'll slow up again. Any ideas what this could be?

how long have you had the pc? i used to format windows between once and twice a year to keep the pc running fast, just use Linux now, much better!

Could be a memory leak somewhere, try adjusting the browser cache size or set the upper and lower virtual memory to the same :y

Get this and clear the 'puter out with it.

Then get Microsoft security essentials installed
http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/,
dump any other anti virus crud,mcaffee etc.
