Title: Help with valuation of old stuff
Post by: Del Boy on 29 August 2010, 18:05:20
Got a few old things my eldest found at work.

They include all of these original items:

A daily mirror paper from Thursday May 30th 1968. This includes Manchester Uniteds' great night of triumph, and on the back page World waits for DE GAULLE. This is in mint condition, a few fold lines, but no ripped pages or anything like that. they're mint.

Again a mint, Manchester United official programme from April 6th 1946, totally mint, even has the attendance written down on the back.

A 1957 FA Cup final ticket, mint again.

An official history os Manchester United, a little book.

Any idea's what these could be worth?

Another plus point of the 1946 programme is, it's a Manchester City vs Manchester United game.

You sure its a 1946 programme - as I cannot remember find ( :) ) any reference to a 1946 Manchester Derby, only matches round that period listed below -

Date                              Home – Away                                      Score
22 January 1949              Manchester United - Manchester City      0 - 0
11 September 1948         Manchester City - Manchester United      0 - 0
07 April 1948                  Manchester United - Manchester City      1 - 1
20 September 1947         Manchester City - Manchester United      0 - 0
09 January 1937             Manchester City - Manchester United      1 - 0
12 September 1936         Manchester United - Manchester City      3 - 2
07 February 1931            Manchester United - Manchester City      1 – 3

Value of programme - "priceless"  ;)
