Post by: Mr Skrunts on 29 August 2010, 11:18:50
Bad enogh learning time as a nipper.  But I had a right old time trying to get my head round the fact that 12.00pm was not mid night, but actually midday.  Because 11.59 was still a minute to mid night.

My Mother in law was born on the 29th. February, she keeps on saying she is only 12 years of age!
Intercalation, a legitimate way for women to lie about their age!

It certainly is Gaffers, but it is what my Royal Naval parents used all the time throughout my childhood so it is what I am used to. :D :D ;)
