.....check their site online. Just went it with a colleague, well boss, to get a DVI/VGA Adapter and found one for 19.99 GBP. In shock I started to search online with the phone and found on pcworld.co.uk for 6 pounds and a few pence. When I questionned them about it they said they would match their online price.
Is this legal? :-/

Yes Gaffers, it is :o :o :o :o
On-line prices can be different, and often are, to any organisations retail units prices. Treated as two separate operations, unless otherwise advertised for certain product as one offer for both. ;) ;)

As Lizzie says, but you also have to remember the savings of not having to display, stock rotatation, no commisision on sales with larger items like laptops etc.
Just to put an item on didplay you are talking handling by wharehose staff, shop floor, possibly a sale assistant then on to check out. Then of course there are the 4 staff that keep point ing to other staff saying they will help coz they dont have a clue where they are either. :-/

My advice to anyone buying anything from PC World would be Don't........ :-X (In my experience, after sales very poor, rang trading standards whilst standing in the Que, soon got a response ::))

Not really important to this thread, but Comet (not connected with the Curry's/PC World group) will not match their online prices.
So, if you want to buy from Comet, browse in-store, buy it with your gayiPhone then collect it from the store you are already in. :y
**You dont need an iPhone to buy online, it just makes it far easier than any other phone in the world..... Signed, an iPhone user.
**Note, I, BM, have nothing to do with this.... I'd never own an iPhone.

Nope. Nothing you can do about it. Any business can offer 'online only deals'. Point is, if you were online, why not buy it?

The point is, if you find yourself in any of these stores and think you'll buy something on impulse.. don't! Go home, shop around and don't let the swindling barstewards win.
They do take the P**S, but only because people don't do their homework.

Indeed so K, to skew the common idiom slightly: Act in haste, repent at leisure. 8-) :y

If its any help, there is the google shopper app that you can get for smartphones. You simply pick up the box and it will take a picture of either the box or cover art (ala dvd etc) and search online for the cheapest price. This will then pop up on your phone.
Saved an absolute fortune by doing this :y

Yup, its normal.
I reserve online (to get their webprice), then pick up from the store later in the day. Sometimes, when in store, I use the browser on the phone to reserve at webprice online ;)
Don't forget to go through Topcashback to get cashback on the pcworld purchase :y

Best of both worlds then. Online prices without having to deal with daft couriers. :y
