.... home, fed and watered after a most enjoyable roadtrip from Scotland to Newent and return (via WIM at Chesham) making and remaking friendships face to face with those in OOF-land.
Thanks particularly to DLK and Chrisgixer for changing front wishbones and rear bushes respectively. Most appreciated, and the change in the ride is really quite dramatic, given that the fronts were only slightly ripped and the rears appeared undamaged. No clunky-ish noises anymore, no shoogly, rattly steering, no wayward (to me anyway...) dropping of the rear when going into corners 'with gusto' that was there previously. Simply, thanks... :y
Once full geo set back up at WIM with two new rear F1's really enjoyed the latter part of the trip home as was then on familiar roads and knew where and what to watch for.
I was intending to stay in the tent on the Sunday then drive down the road Monday morning but the rain started early doors and appeared set to continue after most folks were away so dropped the tent, threw it into the car and drove down to Chesham and into a Premier Inn nearby. Few (!) pints of Hobgoblin on draught and a steak dinner was most enjoyable - as was the Big Boys full breakfast which kept me going all day until this evening. :)
Hope you all enjoyed the weekend asmuch as I did and looking forward to the next one already.
To all, thanks for participating in OOF.... :y

Ah good, I get nervous working on Admins cars after TB's LPG conversion, no need to reply to the pm's, one is an error anyway, poor phone signal. Thanks for feedback, and for the firewater, does it normally affect ones legs in such a way.....? They would not go where I wanted, although the lager may not have helped ;D :y
-
Can you all plan a meet in orkney? i'm one of the managers of a hotel here, and i could really use the help with my miggy :y

I still have relatives in Aberdeen/Dyce so maybe might make a trip of it when my health improves. Chuck some fishing gear in the car and might make a 2 or 4 week touring holiday out of it.

Can feel the beginnings of a Cunning Plan hatching.....
Let me sleep on it and possibly make a phonecall or three..... ;) :-X

Copied from the gallery so not to confuse members.
Aye, its a biggun, full electrics, water, toilet, pit, debating having a two post lift put in, and where the bmw is is where the spray booth is being built
You might get your wish of an OOF meet with all that lot.
-
Aye would be good, Hard dose working on that lot on your own, our fantastic vaux dealer laughed me off the phone asking for rocker gaskets for a 12 year old miggy
