:DAllegro 1100 panda car ;D

You wont let me pick 2 MJ.... :(
I dont know.....but i would guess one of the last two options....
Volvos are slow and i took out impreza with a V6 vectra once.... :D

It's not...

Volvos are slow ...
I wouldn't say top speed of 155 is that slow :o
What models are the cars they use? I meant there's quite a difference between the Subaru R Sport and the WRX STi for example. Or is that asking too much and making the guess too easy? ;)
-
Ive gone for the itchypussy evo ;)
-
veccy - 3.2 v6 :-/ i note it says fastest, not quickest :-X
-
reviewed as being the fastest 4 door saloons, i also went for the Evo, i suppose it depends on which evo they're using, but then it also it depends on which spec of all the others they use, and how they're modified/tuned for police use
would cops use an evo with a roll cage?
-
A clue that no doubt will not be missed by our two resident traffic cops - the speed in question is exactly 159mph... ;)
-
Well I think I'm correct in saying the evo IX is 157 mph, the WRX STi is 158, the T5 155 and the Veccy saloon somewhere in the 130 range? But these are standard models not ...

Very close... :y
It has to be PC Mark Milton's 3.2 litre Vauxhall Vectra GSI that was clocked at 159mph....

I know they don't use them now, but Northumberland Police officially clocked a plod spec, (no e/windows, sound deadening, A/C, etc and with manual transmission), Senator at 163 MPH once.
-
If it's the VXR V6 Veccy, it gets my vote - top speed 161MPH I believe.
-
In order of top speed and accelaration, slowest to fastest, I have found...
Omega 3.0 auto,
Vectra 3.2 manual,
Omega 3.0 manual,
Omega 3.2 manual,
Vectra 2.7 turbo...
The Veccy turbo is just so thirtsy though - hence why they're going.
New Vectra diesels are just arriving now!!

It's not difficult to make a car go quickly in a straight line, however if there were corners involved and I was driving I would NOT want to be in a Vectra :O. To quote Jeremy Clarkson on driving the 2.7 turbo variant: "I don't know why they fit a steering wheel to this car, it doesn't do anything!" Couldn't have put it better myself :D
Both the Evo and WRX STi will obliterate even the VXR Vectra in anything but a straight-line top speed run. T5 Volvo probably not as its handling is rumoured to be pretty wolly too, though I've never driven one.

Its a 2.8 Turbo by the way.....also used in the Saab 93 Aero....and a 3.2 non-turbo version in the Alfa...

Yeah, I had one parked outside my house a couple of days ago when they picked up the Zafira we had on test drive.
Made a lovely noise!! Quite a nice looking piece of kit too.
