isn't it Multi Valve 6, or Multivalve V6, even tho the engines used aren't exclusively for the MV6's? :o

I don't think it's Motorsport - that's going to annoy me now - there must be a history website or a book or something, what about the Haynes manual? It might tell us.......maybe it doesn't mean anything at all  :y

not this old chestnut again ............  ;)
What Opel called MV6 is what Vauxhall called Elite, so did Opel do an equivalent go-faster Omega and if they did, what was it called?  :-/

Are you all stupid?..Silly question. Let's settle this once & for all.
MV6 stands for:- Maximum Velocity 6 Pot & only works to full effect when there's a loose nut behind the wheel!!!

    Sorted, end of. :D

MV6 is simply what Opel Omega B's from '94-'99 were badged if they had 2.5 or 3.0 engine...

Whatever the M stands for (probably a foreign word anyway) the term MV6 srictly means pre-facelift V6 omega, simples  :y

Opel article:

"V6 powered versions (2.5l and 3.0l) had "MV6" badge."

"A badge engineered version of the Omega B MV6 was sold in North America under the name of Cadillac Catera."

lol, we're driving cadillac's  :( :( :( Just enter "cadillac catera 1997" in google images & you'll see loads of miggy's with a funny american badge... glad mines not pink  :D ;D ;D
