What is the difference between a quiche and a flan, me, my mum and dad and both sons can't find the answer, so I resorted to the knowledgeable people on here :y

Flan is a sweet dessert (often custard based) and a quiche is an egg based dish with savoury additions

Main course option being most vile IMO, which is annoying coz it looks like it might be nice, so I keep trying it, always to be disappointed. >:(

Dont knock it if you aint tried it. ;) :D ;D

I was in the company of an American chap called Larry Norman one day many years ago (he was a superstar in the world of gospel rock) who ordered chips (fries) and ice cream. He then proceeded to dip each chip into the ice cream before putting it in his mouth. :o ::) :D

I am sure there will be 'technical' differences, but amounts to the same thing in the end, it's egg and bacon and maybe onion in a pastry base, a pie with no lid :D :D :D

This thread has just reminded me of my dear old grandad.
He wouldn't eat foreign food so quiche was out of the question. So my mum user to call if egg flan and he'd eat it then  [smiley=cheesy.gif]
