Not a million miles from the truth HI.....I lost my cherry during the wonderful hot summer of 1976....I was 16 ......and my girlfriend at the time was 15....There were quite a number of "preggers" schoolgirls about in "76"....when I finished school. :-/ :-/ ;)

Must confess, Waterloo Road is one of very few programs I actually watch and enjoy! Pity I'm working tonight and unlikely to get a chance to watch it before we go away tomorrow ::)

the program is set in Rochdale where I had a business for 25 years so I try and spot locations that I recognise - the pub the teachers always end up in is the Spread Eagle on Cheetham Street! - there were always loads of young unmarried mothers in Rochdale even back in the 70's - nothing's changed !!!!!

Waterloo Road epitomises all that is wrong with society today - schools, teachers, lack of discipline in kids and teachers, lack of respect, language, behavioural problems, ineffective local authorities - but my wife will record it no doubt
