Done the Eiffel Tower, Empire State in New York & Sears Tower in Chicago, no probs but that "pole" no way.
Interestingly don't see the point in those guys wearing hard hats - wont help if they fell off from the top :-/

Friend of mine used to work as a roofer and was forced to were a hard hat by health and safety his argument for not "Only two things going to hit my head while up there bird s##t or a plane, so hows a silly yellow hat going to help" :questionQuoteDone the Eiffel Tower, Empire State in New York & Sears Tower in Chicago, no probs but that "pole" no way.

Health and Safety.....gone mad! I'm back with the Industrial Door business. We have to wear hard hats when working in certain places. We tend to be near the roof, so unless the roof caves in, the hard hat will offer no protection.... and even if I was wearing three hard hats, if the roof caved in, my skull would be in close proximity to my toes.
Wonder what his life insurance policy is like? That'll be Winter Hill, looks a bloody long way up when you're stood at the bottom.
Theres a coms tower just outside Bolton on top of the moore, Andy B will know the one i mean, Often wondered how they got to the top

I changed some fittings once at the top of a 30ft mast on a boat for my mate. Didn't think what the fuss what about until the git started running from one side of the boat to the other. It might only rock gently down below but 30ft up it had me holding on :)
but 30ft up it had me holding on
Just a thought........................
IF he fell, there would just be a little red stain on the ground, and the drop in pressure in the head would kill him/make him black out before he hit the deck, would'nt it??
So.......St Peter would know about it before he did!!

Would there be much difference in atmospheric pressure between 1800 feet and sea level ?

Only about 40 mmHG differential; but boiling a kettle for a comforting cuppa would take longer at the bottom than from where he fell! ;D
