Title: cannabis
Post by: tidla on 23 September 2010, 22:47:03
young lad opened up the workshop today and noticed that the wheelie bin had been used to keep open the door of the unit next door.this has been "empty" for a couple of years. a sneaky peak inside beyond a wall of empty boxes and found... 5600 sq ft of the full set up. lights, water, plastic sheeting and ventilation and filters.the officer attending said it was the biggest haul he had ever seen. forensics in there today, big skip tomorrow.

no smell, no clue.  living quarters in there to house some vietnamese :o :o

my mate got caught about 6 weeks ago, only because his van has been ringed and used for burglaries, which were done in kent. he had 4 growing but under a foot high. police took the plants but left everything else and didnt prosecute, said it would be too expensive to get his case together and take him to court, hes got rid of all the stuff now in csae they decide to knock on his door again one day

I went to a house fire that had been used as a factory. You should've seen the place! Bags of cannabis stuffed everywhere, even in the loft! Pretty strange! The house was wrecked and the two adjoining ones, I've never seen so many plants! One went up the next week round the corner! I bet there's thousands more yet to be discovered all over the country! I didn't smell the smoke though, honestly!

yep, city centres are full of yobs high on dope fighting each other and breaking windows.........no wait..........that's a different taxable drug so that's OK.

Legalize everything, I'm fed up with this nanny state telling me what I can and can't smoke.

That crack is a bit more-ish tho, like Pringles  :y

Perhaps they should dish out a compulsory joint with every couple of pints?

Scatter a few really comfy sofas around the town centre and dish out free munchies. There'd be no trouble. ;D

Legalise the whole shooting match.  Give it away for free.  Makes the afgan fields worthless.  Save honest good lives and let the darwin theory shine through to those with brains and commonsense.

Without doubt H, the time for a good reddin' out is fast approaching - it's the only thing that will maintain some semblance of propriety and reasonable conduct in society. 8-) :y

For those who believe in legalising it. I hope for your sakes that you never have to suffer the utter heartbreak, stress and feeling of helplesness which comes when you see someone close to you who is young, impressionable, easily led, sinking into the fog of phsycosis that can be induced from smoking the stuff.
I wonder how many nights you could endure of little or no sleep and then going to work at 5am before you changed your minds about it being quite harmless. The time you should have been sleeping will be spent in various ways. hoping  the latest suicide attempt hadnt been succesful, roaming the streets in the early hours looking for them and hoping you can do something to help if you find them,on the good nights you manage to bring them home and then try to stay awake all night while you try to convince them that life is worth living. And years later when your efforts have had a degree of success, it still seems unlikely that they will ever be the same as they once were.
The confidence is gone, the enthusiasim for life that is normally present in young people is absent, and still you feel helpless. Its hearbreaking.
Give up the war on drugs - never. Personally I would gas the producers and dealers.

i think when they downgraded the drug it was seen to many as a green light to have a dabble. why it happened i dont know. for those involved in picking up the pieces, reinstating the previous classification was pointless as the damage is done. :(

Never said it would be painless.  Simply taking an objective, longer term view.  Yes, many will waste away their lives but I argue that many, many, stronger willed people will see through the blight of illicit drug taking and the untimely death of our young people on backstreets of the uk and countries (afgan?) That they need not be involved in.

Tobacco destroys lungs and hearts. Cannabis destroys minds and therefore people lives. I think they are both eqally bad in different ways. ;)

A divisive subject if ever there was one.. can't we discuss something less problematic? Like the Pope, or the death sentence, or perhaps euthanasia?

Out of interest, though, for all those who support increased criminalisation and so on on the basis that it wrecks lives, do you also support the idea of criminalising all addictive substances including alcohol and tobacco? (I also presume, therefore, that you're all tee total)

used to work with a guy who took regular "toilet breaks".
the mood swings were intolerable. once, chatting away i mistakenly picked his cup of the tea tray, the look on his face and sudden mood change was really something else.
who knows what would of happened if i called his mum a whore..

I've worked with people like that who didn't, too, though..

And to quote Albs from earlier:
Quote

Plenty of people end up like that without the use of any drugs whatsoever, too - myself included.

I could never understand the government of the time re classification of blow, prior to skunk the tch value of the stongest cannabis was circa 4% the skunk now available now can be up to 16% tch. Talk about shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted :-/

indeed, the "liberal" attitude to cannabis in politics and media tends to come from the fact that it was widely dabbled with by 60/70/80s graduates who are now part of the mainstream.

Little recognition that the stuff is now much stronger and not just being  smoked by long haired students rolling it up on a pink floyd gatefold album. There are plenty of cannabis casualties knocking about the place.

Cant belive XFM manchester has an advert for a hydrophonics shop every 15 mins or so. Its illegal to grow, but not illegal to buy the seeds or buy growing equipment provided that its not bought from the same shop.
