Further to the 80's thread, I thought I would show some pictures of a band I was in in the 70's, and a pic of me in the 90's in a band, and lastly one of me last month, in a pub. The music of the 80's lives on!!!

Extreme right......with hair.
Yes, I know......................!!
BTW, it says 50-90s revival band, don't be fooled, the picture was taken in 1979, and was still in use in 1989 without being updated as we had 1000 of these promo pics printed, and had not used them all up. (I still have over 150 left in my garage!!!!)
The group is still going incidentally with the Bass player Geoff the only original member.................

I thought you were second from the left in the first photo!
I'm still in touch with Roger (the bloke you thought was me) and the swine still has all the hair he had then, with not a trace of grey (B'stard)
Starting losing my hair in 1980, and after that, I always cut my hair really short.

you both probably won't believe me, but I originally grew my goatee so I could get served in pubs and clubs when I started playing them! Even though I was the "entertainment", the barman wouldn't serve me!! (babyface)

I think that me gigging was the cause of my first divorce......I left her alone so much on a friday/sat night that she found someone else to keep her company, and had an affair :-[

Great Pics Six. 8-) :y

Just out of interest, Zulu.....did you know that there was a group in the fifties called "Zulu one-seven??"
they were a 3 piece, and got their name from a Famous spitfire pilots tail identification mark in the battle of britain.
A bit of useless information for you.................

I didn't Six - I wonder what they were like?
The Zulu one-seven I worked with was far from musical except when required to 'perform' if certain situations required the more direct and less reasoned approach. 8-) ;D :y
-
They were a semi-skiffle type group, according to my Dad. Along the lines of the "Deltones" if you remember them.
Dad says they were pretty good, but just didn't get their "break" in the business.

I had a lot of friends in the local Gloucestershire music scene in the 80s

And the 2010's.......
