Today i planned to rip the points, condensor, rotor arm, dizzy cap etc off the "Colonel", to match up with new replacements. However not being a school night i stayed up way too late & did'nt drag my carcass into the shower til this afternoon. Lodger Steve however dragged his carcass out of his pit & by the time i surfaced the colonel had a new coil (i kept it from the Consul when i sold it), fitted the new rad & run it up to temp. Ticking over happily, no leaks, smells, smoke.
Hoping for some cruising weather next weekend or might even take him to work tomorrow!!!! 8-)

Which car is "The Colonel" guy? Is this the little yellow midget or have you bought another?

I did a deal on the Midget. It's a 1962 Ford Consul Classic 315. The 1965 plate is explained in my "Military cars" post so has an interesting history. Guy. 8-)
