I know this is going OT, now I've had a lot of aww, lovely dog, how cute etc on here but how many of you would say that when fully they're fully grown.
The reason I ask is that last night we were at a large fair in Abingdon and received a few comments, the most surprising was from a woman who when walking past the two of them sitting down ignoring everyone said to her husband "Aww look at those to gorgeous puppies" to which her husband replied "They're Rottweilers" so all we got from her was "Shouldn't be aloud"

Then from someone else their kids wanted to stroke them and she grabbed them like I was Gary Glitter and said stay away from vicious dogs like those!!

What is wrong with people !!

They have taken notice of the bad PR these particular types of dogs have received in the media, with so often children involved.

Unless all owners of dogs act with a real sense of responsibility then there will, I'm afraid, be a "tarring with the same brush". ::) ::) ::)

As a general rule of thumb if you see a breed of dog that has a reputation and want to know what the dog is like look whats on the other end of the lead.

As a general rule of thumb you don't go & stroke someones dog, no matter what the breed is, ALL breeds can be nasty. You ask first.
Mine is very easy going & placid (she's a Rottweiler & so has this so called reputation).
She adores children, but she's a dog & like any animals they can ALL be unpredictable.

I wouldn't leave my child unsupervised with any dog, large or small.
