Aghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Found a nasty crack in the hub of a game, not sure what to do, I no longer have the receipt and it is a year old next weekend.
I have contacted the developers.
Not sure if it is safe to play either.
-
do not play it.
sorry mate, but if it fractures all the way thru you can almost certainly kiss your console's transport goodbye.
-
Drill a small hole through the hub where the crack stops and it won't go any further. :y
Obviously try and get it replaced first though.

You think they would last more than 15days usage!
I might just buy a new copy.
Pity game of the year versio is not for sale here
-
If you kick hard enough in the shop, they may just replace it for you... If you paid by card, they may be able to track down the receipt on their till system...
-
Depends if they still have it - I bought it just under a year ago.
Anyway hole now drilled so I will see how it goes.
Worst case is £15
-
just put a spot of loctite on the crack, it should stop it spreading, just wait til it dries b4 you put it back in the console :D
-
Will test it later, I know the spin speed is not that high with BD due to the disc density and it is an early drive.
However I have read about someone whose dog ate their copy as the software house said a Naugty Dog - which is also their name. ;D ;D
