Title: Another harsh winter ahead?
Post by: Nickbat on 09 October 2010, 16:44:16
Some people think so and Camden council is ready to give out shovels!  :o

Forecasters expect  the beginning of 2011 to be besieged by disruptive snowfalls across the country, echoing the sub-zero temperatures which saw parts of Britain struggling under up to 12 inches of snow earlier this year.

We've done alright for sun over the past few summers :)

As for the winter being a bad one, we're supposed to having a warm weekend ::) ::)
They can't get the forecast right for the next day let alone months in advance.

Yep and at the beginning of week they were predicting the end of the world style rain at the end of the week. Just before the event they changed their mind to sunny. I mean come on! Is it me or has the weather reporting got even worse recently?

Bring back the good old days, when the used to use the simple map pictures, with the magnetic clouds, sunshine, etc.  And the "will they, won't they fall off the map ?.  More entertaining if you ask me !.

However bad the coming winter may be, I hope it doesn't induce some to follow this man's example.

Oh yes, the site of the future Edward IV victory in 1461 over the Lancastrians.  Not a great King, but still relatively successful for this period of history :y :y

No not then, but of course their day would come after the Battle of Stoke Field (1487), the marriage between Henry VII and Elizabeth of York, and so the creation of the House of Tudor that ruled via the likes of Henry VIII and Elizabeth I throughout the 16th Century 8-) 8-) 8-)
