did you know that when they recorded "the wind cries Mary", JMH played half the sond through for the other two and then they went into the studio and recorded it. Job done.

I have actually heard the original 1st take recording, with the voice over instructions " no, no, A MINOR, not MAJOR, man!!" form that song, totally awesome track.

1911 - Robert Johnson born. Without him there wouldnt have been Hendrix, Clapton etc. ;)
He was also the founder member of the "27 club", later joined by Hendrix, Joplin, morrison, Brian Jones, Cobain etc. :(

You could also argue that date with George Martin at EMI was equally important. No doubting the talents of messrs lennon,mccartney nor the contributions of Harrison (always my favourite Beatle/exBeatle) and Starr but how would their recordings have been without Mr Martin?
