I've just come in from the driveway and I'm froze! At least I've finished doing MaxV6's cam covers, water pump and timing belt. Just got 4 hours at work in the morning, then clean the breathers, refill with coolant, move both pre-cat lambdas and change the rear discs and pads before 2pm :D :o ;D ;D
-
Bloody freezing out tonight, and today actually :o
Busy day tomorrow then ;D
-
good luck ! and many thanks ! i can make tea or coffee for you to thaw you out when i get there tomorrow....
probably not much use for much else.... but willing to lend a hand... just got to be careful as i have to play the damn guitar tomorrow night...... so bruised fingers a massive no no....
-
meanwhile off to bed, got a 4.25 am start to get the mrs to the station
-
1.5º according to the weather station in the back garden!
Cam covers definately needed doing though! Pots 1, 3 and 4 had some oil. Pot 2 was rusty! 5 and 6 had so much oil in them I couldn't see the plugs! All shiney clean now though. Max, keep an eye out for a 2/4/6 dis pack as it doesn't look very healthy!
-
i'll start by asking Andy how much a new one is.... while keeping an eye out....
and put it on the list of things to do.... preventative maintenance wise...
probably best think about servicing the oil cooler from the sounds of it....
but suspension next (first)..... methinks.... sort out that knocking
-
Nothing to do with the oil cooler matey, it was the cam covers causing the oil :y
-
was a 2 4 6 pack on ebay for £65 the other day :y
-
This one isn't too bad I suppose, I can see the rust on the coils and the plastic is starting to break up a little.
-
yes, these have both sides...£65 each, plus 6.50 postage

i know lee, i'm just thinking "preventative maintenance" the joy of oil cooler servicing , but on my timetable, not the car's
-
...and I'm trying to pluck up courage to go and do an oil change this morning, well done Lee.
-
