Title: Thawing out...
Post by: Welung666 on 20 October 2010, 23:24:02
I've just come in from the driveway and I'm froze! At least I've finished doing MaxV6's cam covers, water pump and timing belt. Just got 4 hours at work in the morning, then clean the breathers, refill with coolant, move both pre-cat lambdas and change the rear discs and pads before 2pm  :D :o ;D ;D

1.5º according to the weather station in the back garden!

Cam covers definately needed doing though! Pots 1, 3 and 4 had some oil. Pot 2 was rusty! 5 and 6 had so much oil in them I couldn't see the plugs! All shiney clean now though. Max, keep an eye out for a 2/4/6 dis pack as it doesn't look very healthy!

i'll start  by asking Andy how much a new one is....  while keeping an eye out....
and put it on the list of things to do....  preventative maintenance wise...

probably best think about servicing the oil cooler from the sounds of it....

but suspension next (first).....   methinks.... sort out  that knocking

Nothing to do with the oil cooler matey, it was the cam covers causing the oil :y

This one isn't too bad I suppose, I can see the rust on the coils and the plastic is starting to break up a little.
