Title: Evans Halshaw are poo.

My zafira started firing on only three cylinders yesterday and the emissions light came on. I took it to a small independent garage this morning and he had a quick look. The plugs were knackered.
The car has done 28000 miles and has three stamps in the service book. One at 8000, one at 15000 and one, just before I bought it (from EH) at 21000. All of these done by EH. The plugs have, obviously, never been changed.
So much for 'Main dealer service history'.

I have left it with him to do a full service. No doubt this will knock a few bob off the price when I trade it because it won't be a vauxhall stamp. ;D

have you looked up the recommended service interval for a plug change ??

may well be a 40k interval plug  :-/


If you werent so Lazy and did your own servicing, you would know it was right  :y

The pedal trick used to work on SWMBO's 52 plate 1600 Astra. If plugs I'd have expected 0300/0301/0302/0303/0304  :-/

I used to work for them in the west midlands. they were poo there too. They would stamp the service book and only change the oil and do a Used Pre delivery inspection regardless of what else was needed. Pre delivery inspection was fairly intense but if something could last just over the standard 3 month warranty period then that was good enough. i always played my face as i was the one selling them!!! had enough in the end. ;)
