Tractors, traction engines, it's all good!  Although after your difficulties with that fuel filter you might be better off staying away from steam.  ;) ;D ;D

You could come to the National Kit Car show at Stoneleigh agricultural show ground and laugh at me and 11 other nutters trying to recreate "A Car Is Born" on the Westfield stand..

Seriously, should be an interesting show for any petrol heads. Plenty of cars to see and stalls to buy junk, etc.

If I wasn't having to help build this stupid raft for the crafty craft race down the canal on Monday I'd be there...  Children with eggs be warned, I might take my breaker bar with me..

Thanks for the trip in the Westfield the other day Kevin, that car is the ultimate driving machine, and I now want one SO badly..

You're going to get me into a lot of trouble ;)

He He. It'll be fun! If you come across by brother Tim (on the Rotaract raft), say Hi.

I don't normally spank it like that on my commute so it is a bit of a revelation for me each time I get to show off ;)

Aye he did, on Radcliffe Road going down to Darcy Lever. He used to booze in the Lever Bridge with an uncle of mine.

Yeah, I am thinking of going there too.  It isn't a great show, but I do still want a hardtop kit car at some point so be nice to take a look.

That looks pretty cool.  A little smaller than I want, but otherwise very interesting.  I knew I shoulda kept the motor from that J-reg 214 . . .  :-/

Just the first thing that came to mind when you said hard top. A mate of mine had one and it was gourgeous.

Blimey! My J reg 214 died of HGF in '99. Actually, it died when the mate of a mate I sold it to rear-ended someone, which was a relief because it stopped the running commentary of what's gone wrong with it since I sold it to him!  ::)

Mine wouldn't pass MOT b/c the driver's door wouldn't open.  Had to crawl across.  :(

Well, it was good to see ClarCE at the show and appologies to theolodian. I was having a "bio break" when you stopped by the stand and my mobile phone had been dumped in a corner under bits of Westfield.

Speaking of which, we fired it up at 14:00 hrs yesterday after one false start (plumbed in fuel injection flow and return the wrong way round).

That's OK.  Actually, we stopped by the stand several times.  You were on a Stella break the other times . . .

Show was good, but I thought the manufacturer stands were generally weak.  Didn't find any kits I really fancied.  Thinking more about a scratch build, but that would be an immense project because it would not be a club racer type thing.
