Just looking at idea's to get a break at some stage next year and have a drive down south to the coast.
Had to search for disabled access as the passenger in the car will require easy access in and out of places etc. So started googling and found a lovely log cabin inland that looked nice but had a weekly rate of £755 for july and august. Yet I had just been looking at B+B's in Cullen (Aberdeenshire) where twin/double rooms were £55 a night with a seaview room overlooking the harbour.
So based on cost on what I have seen so 2 weeks in scotland for B+B is cheaper than a week in Cornwall self catering.
Yes I know these are only 2 examples, but but rather go by recomendation for a family run B+B if possible. Idealy nothing commercial.
Needs to have ground floor room and "possible" wheelchair access. Time of year not even that important but as long as the weather is reasonble.
So if any one knows of any little homely B+B's they could recommend in the cornwall area I would very much aprreciate it.
TIA. :y

Can't really help with a recomendation I am afraid. What I will say is Devon/Cornwall and to some extent Dorset is ridiculous on prices in the summer. We gave up about 10 years ago as so pricey and started tracelling around europe. Much cheaper even wth a ferry.
Better to fly to some gauranteed good weather, that throw good money into what can be a disastrous holiday down south.
