Just arrived at my son-in-laws who informs me of the death of an Omega Estate :( :'( :'(
He recovered the said vehicle from the M40 yesterday at Beaconsfield and delivered it to Guildford.
The vehicle was posssibly a 53 plate CDX Estate and was 'silver' and I believe it was attacked from the rear by a lorry.
He thinks the driver was ok. Hope it was not an 'Oofer'

I hope also hope it was'nt one of us & no i was'nt driving the truck! :(

Sad to read that and as said before hope no-one involved was hurt. That stretch of the M40 between High Wycombe and M25 is a bit of a black spot for accidents. When I was commuting that way it was getting as bad as the M1 for people colliding into each other on a Monday morning at times.

That whole section from the top of Chickenshit Canyon to Beaconsfield is a mare, seems to be full of erratic drivers (mainly german exec car drivers).

I use the M4/A404 from Slough rather than the M40 even though it's slightly quicker, as said it's suicide alley.
And for info in the other direction the stretch from Stokenchurch to Wycombe is equally as dangerous in the morning, people crest the hill at insane speeds straight into a rising sun and invariably bury theirself into the vehicle in front that they cant see.
