I know that you can't watch something you recorded on a subscription channel if your subscription for that channel later expires (i.e. I'd recorded stuff on Sky Movies that I'd not got around to watching, cancelled my Movies subscription and.. d'oh!) - but it depends if they're making it unencrypted, or encrypted and updating everyone's details to let them decrypt that channel.. IYSWIM.

Sky+ boxes record the encrypted content, so you must be able to decrypt it (i.e. subscribed to service) at the time of playback. ;)

Don't think that nut has been cracked yet? Only way to decrypt is to subscribe afaik, and that is their plan....? Sky encryption is almost bullet proof I believe, but I'm all ears if not, I have no intention of subscribing ATM.

Not sure?

Got tickets to Peter Kay Live next week, and to a band called Paramore following week.

Get to use Sky's facilities and the Corporate box :)

The Bar area is quite nice...

Pool table is fun too... (the lights follow the balls)

just re-checked the info i was sent, this free weekend is different to last. This one is for Sky & Virgin customers only. Sky Showcase is the only channel, but its showing all movies listed above.

Today its a Disney CineMagic triple-bill of Bolt, A Bug’s Life and Brother Bear playing back-to-back from 1pm.

Tunnie - if you can get free tickets to the O2, I would highly recommend that you try to get some for Roger Waters next May. If he is half as good as when I saw him there a couple of years ago (also a corporate freebie) it will almost certainly be the best gig you will ever see.Cant overstate how brilliant it was. :y :y

Cheers will keep an eye out  :y

I only generally get access to them two weeks before an event, even then its just a bit of luck if any are spare. Got couple to Paramore week  after next. They originally sold out in just a few hours back in May  :o

Never heard of them - but then I am old. ::) :'( :D

Being an old fart rocker, I have been to quite a few gigs over the years and seen just about everyone who I would really want to see, so I became a bit blase about bothering to get of my arse to go to any more gigs. I can honestly say that the Roger Waters gig was incredible. Something I will never forget. There are only 2 or 3 others that I can say the same thing about.
Kill a workmate to steal a ticket if you have to. :y ;D ;D

You should look 'em up.. if nothing else, for the lead singer, Hayley Williams:
