Title: 1st real car work in a while
Post by: Jimbob on 31 October 2010, 20:16:02
After my Cyst issue earlier in the year which was operated on in August, finally got the spanners out again today.

Taken me most the day to do..

New Front Disks
New Front (Jurid) Pads
Brake Fluid Change - thanks to the Marks DTM method of repairing a knackered easy bleed by bypassing the leaking resivoir  :D  Easybleed never worked so well.

New droplinks

Brakes all went to plan, as they should (not sure the pedal is as hard as it was though  :-/ )

2 out the 4 droplink nuts came out easily enough

Has to resort to the hacksaw for the other 2, took me ages  :'(

Nice to have decent brake feel and no clunks again  :D

Dont half know Ive been working now though, ache like hell.  :(

did you put some grease or vaseline over the ends of the new drop link threads? makes it easier for removal when they are expired.

not a nice task tho so i sympathise.

 :)

:y Great work, Jimbob.....at least the weather was kind today; not the type of jobs to do in the pouring-rain or bitter-cold. ;)
