Love or hate the airline, you have got to admire the man behind it. He runs a tight and effective ship.
If only he was employed by the government to buy tankers for the airforce instead of the bunch that paid over the odds, don't even get to own the planes and they will be delivered without even the necessary armour..............
If only he was involved with sorting out benefits............
If only he was involved in road and rail projects.............
If only he was involved in making the banks actualy lend money.............
Of course he wouldn't be everyones cup of tea ( I can see Marks DTM right now frothing at the mouth!) ;D ;D
:y :y :y :y

He's an upstart, and an Irish one at that.

Nothing worse than an Irish upstart Steve. :y :D ;D

Well......there's you. ;D ;D

Unfortunately he tends to spout absolute b*****ks at times including today. He said it was only cargo planes involved, but he was wrong. One of the packages was carried to Dubai from Yemen by two passenger planes!!
-
The guys an idiot - but he does know how to get his airline publicised by coming up with something ridiculous to say every couple of weeks (in a similar way to that talentless, brainless tart, Jordan).
As they say, there is no such thing as bad publicity. (Having said that, because of his attitude, I would never fly Ryan Air (or Jordan!), so maybe it doesnt work)

Thinking of flying Ryanair and praising the owner?
Have a look at this interesting site first and then make up your mind:

:D :D :D ;) ;)

His airline may be cheap and not very cheerful, but he is a good businessman. I would imagine his shareholders are pretty happy with the job he is doing. ;)
-
Hes an obnoxious shite who has no interest in his customers, we have enough like that already in government thanks
-
I like the guy, he has the balls to stand up and say what he thinks of the crappy media, and the equally crappy civil service.
I've never flown on one of his aircraft, and nor to I particularly want to, but he does brighten up the usual dull business stories without wankword bingo. I suspect if anyone went up to him about leveraging his synergy, he'd punch their lights out :y

Passenger numbers up 10% to 40.1m in the semi annual accounts. He must be doing something right. :y
Besides which, no one is forced to fly Ryanair. You pays your money you takes your choice. ;)

But that is exactly why he would be good in the job. His interest is share holders ( That would be you and I) The man is a ruthless business man and would get a great deal for GB plc. Look at how he operates. He sets up a route from say East Mids to Granada in Spain on the condition that Granada city subsidises his operation at the Spanish end. It comes up for renewal and the city of Granada don't want to continue subsidising him. He calls their bluff and pulls his operation and sets up his route elsewhere where they are willing to play ball. The analogy would fit well with any supply chain operation rather than as it is now where bloated contracts exist to everyones mutual benifit.

Conpletely agree. :y
I fly Ryanair if the flight is within the UK - almost anything is bearable for an hour, especially if you got the flight for a tenner.
You just need to make sure you follow all their stupid rules to the letter, otherwise you will pay enough to fly Virgin Atlantic to New York. Which is probably where they make their profit from.
They have announced another increase in profits today, so I think he has studied his market and pitched things about right.

He is clever enough to realise that the majority of the population brought up in Nanny State are too stupid to be able to follow the rules...

Trouble is we are the share holders and customers and hence why he would be shite.
He only as an interest in share holders because hes selfish and they line his pocket (as he is one of he major stakeholders)
And as many know, I will NEVER fly RyanShite ever again (and refuse to on company buisness to)

never flown Ryanair, and I've read and heard little to commend them, I guess if being the cheapest (they're not) and loudest (they are) works then fine, I reckon he's one press conference away from doing a "Ratner" ;D
