Title: Intermediate edison screw
Post by: Chris_H on 02 November 2010, 17:54:59
I'd never heard of it until the microwave bulb blew and I tried to change it.  SES rattles and ES needs a vice.

Anyone know of a supplier of IES 240V 25Watt globe filament lamps?

Doh! >:( >:( >:(

Common in Microwaves, Ovens etc.

Places like Comet/Curry's do them, cheaper in B&Q/Homebase though.  :y

Its done for a reason, the appliance bulbs are basicaly rough duty and capable of withstanding higher ambient temperatures

I use this online company; prompt and not too costly :y.....they even have a range of 120 volt lamps for my American fridge (which runs from a line transformer).
