Fuctifino then. Last time the Beastie changed herself but this time nothing. I'll see if she's sorted herself out in the morning. If not i'll have to do her manually which she won't like as she's OOF's first lesbian Mig & i support her fully....
   I dare'nt do otherwise!!! 8-)

You just need a really good FM reception for RDS to work, and the clock will update itself.  When you receive an RDS signal, the clock is constantly updating itself.  :y

Prefacelift ones are manual only. Minifacelift and facelift ones will update time from RDS station transmitting time, except NCDC which get it from GPS Satellites.

Like my watch ... stopped 20 years ago -- but it's spot on twice a day (which is better than when it worked!)

Put Radio 2 on for the run to work, that should cure it.
Otherwise the RDS time function may be switched off.

As said, make sure the RDS is switched on. Easy-to-miss button on the stereo.

Oh, and pre-facelifts DO have RDS. Or certainly '98> models do     ;)

Mini Facelifts do have the facility. Its basically down to the installed MID. The early (pixel prone) ones do not have the facility.

Said facility needs to be turned on in the MID. Please read the manual if you need to know how, as I can't remember the exact sequence of button presses ;D

Dare I admit to listening to Magic FM?  A surefire way to NOT get a time update - have to switch to BBC at least to get that.

Pleased to hear that Ms Kennedy has gone.  Couldn't stand her female logic or her poor use of the English language.

Are you 100% on this as the time on mine sat there for over 15 mins without changing despite having reasonable satellite coverage whilst I was driving.  I then tuned into Radio 1 for less than a minute and it finally changed  :-/.

I am pretty certain that my 1994 Omega used to auto update the time. It definitely had the pixel prone MID (it worked ok in wet weather but about 1/4 of the pixels packed up in dry weather).

The auto update was something that could be enabled or disabled but I can't remember if it was set in the MID or the head unit (or both) :-/

Nope, function only on later style MIDs (and CCRT Displays)
