I have been using Firefox for ages. Last week, it automatically updated itself and, since then, it has become incredibly slow and has also been fallen over on numerous occasions.
The problem is not with sites like OOF, which loads as before, but rather with commercial sites, where FF spends hours waiting for things like "ad.uk.doubleclick.net" to load. >:(
Has anyone else experienced difficulties? :-?

checking the net , seems like you are not lonely..

At the risk of bringing problems on myself... not yet.

I was about to declare 'No problems here!' ... and then I realised I'm using Chrome ;D :-[

IE8 has been peeing me off for a while now >:( :(

Block all the ad sites, then. Adblock plus and NoScript plugins required, IMHO.

.......Stopped using FF at beginning of year - prefer Chrome now.
It would crash with out explanation, freeze or hang immobile......
Use IE8 other wise.
My son still uses FF for online games and that doesn't seem to be a problem...........
Have to use IE7 at work.........

Just downloaded GC. See how that goes :-/

Thanks, Kevin. :y
I've installed those and there does seem to some improvement, but still not as fast as it was before the upgrade, I think.

As others I use Chrome which I have found to be fastest of the lot so far. I also use Firefox from time to time but IE8 is a real PIA as far as I'm concerned

try Safari for a week, I find Chrome and Firefox torturous...............as slow as a week in the jail to coin an old phrase :y

I am trying out Firefox 4.0 Beta and the problems of slow loading have disappeared.
Indeed, it seems to be fast! :y
