that thinks this shows how mad the world is and how mankind has got it's priorities wrong?
This (http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk247/lizziefreeman/All%20Things%20Interesting/ChineseVase.jpg)
sold for £43 million yesterday. £43m for an old vase; yes I know a very rare vase, but is any bit of pottery worth £43m?
I love anything old and historical, and would pay a million pounds for a steam railway engine that could give pleasure to many being pulled along in coaches behind. But a vase for £43,000,000 (I have to keep on typing it as I may believe it eventually!! :D :D :D)
Before anyone starts about the wicked capitalist system, let's also add it was apparently bought by someone from......................................the mainland of China!!! ::) ::) ::) ::)
What do you all think?
Is it madness, or just mankind admiring and valuing beauty? :-/ :-/ :-/

No Lizzie, the world, has indeed, gone mad!

I think it went cheap. I was going to bid myself but I got side-tracked by a mansion I was viewing.
