If I have heard this statement once I have heard it a thousand times, and do you know what it means? Jack shit. . .
Again I am doing a car that has had Vauxhall Trained Mechanic's working on it. This time they fitted a new oil pump, that is leaking. . . Why? ? Because they have not put any sealer on the oil pump, plus the wrong sealer between the sump casting and block. . .
I am writing this thread in the hope that if people read it they think twice about taking their car to such Cowboys. . >:(

My first Omega was main dealer serviced from new until I got it.
It was a mechanical wreck - engine, gearbox, suspension, steering - you name it, it was knackered.
It was only the discovery of this place (and then discovering DLK,s parts palace :)) that saved it from being dumped behind the nearest hedge. :)

No such thing as a "Trained Mechanic" Daz, as they're 'Technicians' nowadays.
Problem is I think, they're usually young just left school staff, that so used to playing on Playstations / Xbox's that know how to plug in the diagnostic equipment into the car and download stuff to/from it. But actually doing the manual work they're not interested in doing it as it takes time & effort !.
This is why people on here would rather rely on you & other proper OOF mechanic's on here.
Sad times of why there's no public confidence in Dealers doing the work properly and why people have feeling of being ripped off by dealers/garages today. :-? :-/ .

They had apparently cut off the cambelt, then replaced it by not undoing any of the idlers. . . there was tipex everywhere, multi rams were not working as they were hosed up wrong, no O rings in the gearbox oil cooler only black sealer. . . Infact I do believe they have shares in black sealer. . .

Still having fun with it then ::) ::) ;D ;D

One of those 'Vauxhall Trained Technicians' managed to ram my first company car (Cavalier 2.0 SRi) into the back of a Lorry after it's first service many years ago.
Fortunately that dealership no longer exists... They still have an accident repair centre though!!!

It is amazing, trained to crap in their own nest ultimately. My neighbour keeps going on about his mate being a trained vauxhall mechanic and if I need any help to give him a shout.... :-X >:(. ;D
Turns out he's an EX vauxhall trained mechanic........ oh really! ;D

:P Permit me to paraphrase:
"He`s an untrained vauxhall grease monkey; whom was sacked" ;D
